About the Choir

The Valley Forge Choir of Men and Boys was founded in December of 2001 in response to a need for the performance of fine traditional choral music. The choir gives boys the opportunity for developing self-esteem, a positive attitude, respect, team spirit and discipline. Making music at the highest level is the vehicle for developing these gifts.

A letter from the Choirmaster:

Greetings, and welcome to our website. The Valley Forge Choir of Men and Boys was founded in the fall of 2001. The purpose of our choir is to give its members the chance to excel at music in a team-centered environment, and the opportunity to perform some of the finest choral music. As boys voices change, it is always necessary to recruit new boys for the treble section of the choir. Any boy between the ages of eight and eleven may audition.

Each boy receives a musical education, including voice-training, sight-singing, and advanced ear training. Choir members have the opportunity to perform locally, and on tours to other places.

If you are, or know a boy who loves to sing, please feel free to arrange for an audition or obtain additional information by calling me at 484-868-0883 or or via email at
info@VFBoyschoir.org.

Sincerely,

R. William Howell,
Choirmaster
